Paris: One of the Most Romantic Cities in the World
Paris will awaken your senses like a love affair.

Many things have been written about Paris, but one thing you’ve probably read over and over is that it is a romantic city. Everyone knows this is true, but why? Poets and philosophers alike have tangled with the question. Is it the weather? The language? Something in the drinking water? The answer is actually quite simple: Paris is romantic because, like a love affair, it awakens your senses in so many different ways.

Paris Landscape

Places in the city that will awaken your senses:

Sight: Sunset at Eiffel Tower year–round, and at Place de la Concorde on December 2nd, when the sun sets under the  L'arc De Triomphe. There are many wonderful works of art to view inside the numerous museums located in the center of Paris.

Sound: Live performances at the Opera Bastille and grand mass at Notre-dame Cathedral.

Smell:
Walking past the city’s best boulangeries, Patisserie Gerard Mulot and Poilane, cheese shop,  and fragrance shop, L'artisan Parfumeur.

Touch: Fine linens at Porthault, the butter-smooth leather of Hermes and crystal glasses brimming with delicate Bordeaux.

Taste:
Macaroons at Laduree, charcuterie at L' Ecluse, wine at Legrand Filles Et Fils and fine dining at L'atelier De Joel Robuchon - Etoile.

But perhaps it is the shopping. Parisian designers have a flair for style that epitomizes their true sensibility.
